How to add an existing OneNote notebook to an Office 365 Team

If you create a OneNote tab MS Teams always creates a new one. However there is a way to create a OneNote tab to a existing notebook.

Steps

  1. Create a new tab using “+“.
  2. Instead of selecting the “OneNote” tab select the “Website” tab.
  3. Fill in the “Tab name” eg: OneNote.
  4. Then go to OneNote online and copy the website address (URL) of the existing notebook.
  5. Now paste the website address into the URL field.
  6. Click “Save” and you’re done!
